lol, bet there not many ppl who know where that bridge is, any idea what the 'railway'(?) line it's on was for?
I assume you rode down the line, must be pretty damned scary with snow & ice on off-camber trail with a nice deep ditch to fall in.
.
You still doing your niche ride round your local area rides then?
.
(been too ill to ride, so haven't been over to the 'ditch for a week or so, while the snows been about)

z1ppy, considering that bridge goes over a stream that runs along the bottom of ****enham cricket club, obviously a 'long' time since you visited the 'ditch ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ready to venture back to proper stuff now but couldn't be 4rsed to drive anywhere, had 3.5hrs of fun in the snow locally

PSA - Do not ride across sledge runs, it ends in tears ๐Ÿ˜€

z1ppy, same one that my lad thought it was, by the sleeper bridge on the bridleway next to the river, an area my kids call pebble beach

yep, liking the 'pebble beach' moniker for that area (sleeper bridge has been gone for a while though).
They must have bought a job lot by the sounds of things.

Votchy - good to see you're still riding the ****enham routes.
Is that the bridge with the steel bar across at each end, at bottom bracket level, like a bootscraper?
Enjoy the wintry conditions while you can, I'm sure the mud will be back soon ๐Ÿ™

Tim,

yep, thats the very one at the bottom of the autobahned bridleway we used to descend with the stump in the middle of the bend. ****enham routes are great in this weather, once it thaws over the weekend they will be out of bounds for some time. How is it down on the 'moor?

ah yes...somewhere around here

The moor was snowy last weekend. Probably still is after tuesday's dump of snow. Likewise it will be a mudfest when the thaw/melt starts.
