[#10403999]

I see Pace are announcing something in a couple of days...any know if it is a full bounce bike?

I watched the Cotic video last night and ended thinking I could be tempted by a new bike and thought a full bounce Cotic could be good.

Then spotted the Pace video and I'm hoping it could be a full bounce...and also hope it is very good as last attempt looked nice but either didn't last or didn't ride as well as it was hoped (probably wrong there but was several years back so can't recall much!).

I'd be hoping for a modern RC-100. Must be coming up to 30th Anniversary of the original now.

That was 1988, I think...so would be this year.

I had a RC405 for three years and enjoyed it. The full floater...ahem...kind of vpp rear worked really well. The DT Swiss shock was fairly shocking though and unfortunately the timing wasn't great for Pace. It launched with geometry that was already fairly old school just when things were changing fast.I wish then better luck this time.

I just went looking for more pics of that teenage dream of a RC500...
now I'm 4 pages (of 26-odd) into a Retrobike thread of late 90's downhill bikes..

The RC303 still rates as one of the best hardtails I’ve owned.

Old habit...full suspension, saggy at both ends, etc

I still loved mine after it cracked. Shame.

Yup, looks like it is a full suspension...which could be good.

Video with Guy Kesteven mentions a carbon full suspension bike...

It does look pretty swoopy tubing in the videos, although it's hard to tell.

Looks great. 2019 might see me buying my first Pace frame since 1993.

Like.
My Pace 405 was a lovely bike...if this is an updated version, it could add to my current "what new bike?" conundrum

Aye, suspect it'll be eye-wateringly expensive!

New Pace carbon forks as well? The Hope bike is, what, £5k now? I'm guessing north of £6.5k. Glad to see they are still as enthusiastic as ever.

It's eye-wateringly ugly.

Buy a Cotic, it'll look and ride better.

Forks have a carbon wrap on them (or stickers as non-marketing people call them).

It's not pretty like the HB160.
That's £5500, but increasing to £6300 in the New Year. With XO1 Eagle.

Wouldn’t say it’s ugly, I would say it doesn’t look any different from 95% of the full suss bikes already out.
