Ooh look at that. The Orange haters are straight in on the first 2 responses!!

I predict a filing cabinet quip/picture by post 8.

I like it BTW.

My response was "a blue bike". How you read that as "I hate Orange - they're really rubbish" is completely beyond me.

Actually I like Orange. I rode a 5 until it was nicked. If I could afford it I'd have another.

Carbon wheels costing as much as the frame seems excessive given how heavy their frames usually are

Not really, I do like them but don't own one, I'm just a bit bored today, and don't really fancy posting on the EU threads!!

Liking the filing cabinet pic though.

Hurrah! The bike I nearly bough last time round until I discovered they weren't making an xl.

I'll be very interested in this in a year or so.

I quite like it. Its hard to make a single pivot look cool but I think since the fabricators took over Orange has made some nice moves. Good work Orange.

That's some next level origami going on with the swingarm.

as with v666ern ^ i saw these at BPW last week

look nice enough, esp the newer swingarm, cant get my eyes past the ridiculous cassette on the SRAM 1x12 and didnt look closely enough to see if its 1x only.
i heard mixed reviews, but more based around different components rather than frame layout.

Frame looks nice- long, low & slack.

That rear mech looks awfully close to the ground ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
It's like a 36t cassette on a kids bike.

Oooooo, interesting....

Having fancied a look at a Segment due to them not making a 5 29 / Alpine 5ish bike atm I may have to wait on...

I'd quite like the 5 to get the triangulated swing arm but I'll take a new Alpine next year.
New owners - new tweaking.

Reminded me of a yeti when i saw it quickly.

If its boost rear end i'm on board, picky i know, i'm not the lightest and ride pretty hard and kill wheels, a lot of 650b bikes ive ridden seem to have a flexy rear end due to the wheel. I love my Alpine, I have the last model 26" so this ticks all the boxes.

Surely gonna be Boost and I can't imagine them including a front mech mount. It's already been phased off the current bikes innit?

PB caption mentioned an 11-46t rear cassette, I thought XT only went to 42t? (but might be wrong)

Yes, 11-46t is the new cassette they are releasing in the Xt11 Mk2 range.
Little more for you HERE in a PB article
