Is it any good ... ?

-got the old one in 2.25, and it really has to be precise filled with air, otherwise it tend to fold.... but i like it for its speed, but could be a bit more burly.

And if you know where to get it at a good price from a german online shop .... let me know..

Thanks!

no idea.

Guess this is the "old" faster rolling version.

23 GBP not too bad

New addix versions: around 38 GBP?

Friend of mine will use the nobby nic addix speedgrip version as rear tyre. But no idea how it will work out so...

It's not bad, but had that usual tendency of just giving up on short notice, plus it's the only tire I've managed to slash a sidewall on so far. There's better out there for sure. I'm liking the Maxxis Forekaster at the minute, it's similar to the Nic but tougher, a smidge lighter and seems more predictable.

I've had a couple of them. No real difference in feel to the previous one (addix speedgrip versus trailstar). A big more prone to ruddy big holes that need plugging though.

I've got an Addix SpeedGrip on the rear of my Hightower.  Loving it right up until I introduced it to the Lakes.  It came home with a tyre plug in and a light 4 inch slash across the tread 🙁

Basically need something that doesn't weigh as much as a Der Kaiser, but is a bit tougher than the Nobby Nic.

I looked around, as wanted the addix speedgrip for longer wear and grip, with snakeskin, and best tubeless variant, quite a lot of UK sites mislisted a lot of the models.

Got from Germany, run a 2.35 upfront and a 2.25 out back, both tubeless. £42 a tyre delivered.

Chainreaction were about £48 a tyre.

Found forekasters lethal on dry, dusty, rocky descents, and read they are more of an autumn/winter tyre for slippier conditions.

Most riding buddies run NN too front and back without any issues, but they've always gone for the top model. For such a grippy capable tyre, its super lightweight and rolls incredibly. Run between 26-35 PSI depending how much road work i'm doing joining up trails.
