So just been watching Click on the BBC a new nanotech coating has been developed to completely waterproof small metal components. Seems you pop the item in a small microwave oven type thingy press the button and get presto, completely submersible.i wonder how this will effect the bike industry?thoughts....
Gadget Show had something similar recently - applied it to a mobile and then sat it in water....
Hahaha great pic, just wondering about moving components and the longevity of the coating on moving parts?
this is quite old news. I believe that some of the motorola smart phones are coated internally with this kind of technology so they are more water resistant.
About time.
In 1977 I was watching Tomorrow's world ( being 9years old I believed them completely) and thought by now we would all be living with such things....
But no, 36 years later and we have gone relatively nowhere
