I got the newest magicshine light the other day. I'm well impressed. There are pics and opinion here

They look good. Seem to look alot smaller than the old version.

I was well impressed. I'd recommend them to everyone now. dunno how long they'll last but they seem pretty well built.

Same head unit as the Spokeshirts light although the battery bag looks different - so you have the option of paying bit more and getting a product from a UK supplier.

My pal got a set of these a few months ago. One battery pack has stopped working, and they have suffered water ingress problems at the connectors, causing flickering. The old version mind you.

As above the battery connection looks a bit exposed to the elements - does it come with a decent case? I have the old version which coped ok.

you guys recon I should keep the battery pack in a bag or something to keep the water off it?

My old magicshine came with a plastic covered battery in a velcro bag which seemed to work ok if I wrap it up tight. The newer one looks a better light though, mines a bit yellowy
