Smashed my Hope Vision HID last night, done me very good service for about three years with no hassle/repairs or anything
Will cost about £90 to have Hope replace the bulb + who knows how much if there is anymore damage (bulb pushed right back into body, don't know what else is in there to damage?)
Is it worth getting repaired do you think? or should I put the money towards n new LED system? (thinking how good the battery will be after lots of use, twice a week over winter for 3 years)
If new whats good up to about £200? got to give at least the same amount of light as the Vision if not more but always felt that the beam was a bit narrow
Is the Luu any good ?

Have you ever seen or used one of my lights ?. Infact, with a post like that, I would hope that you have extensive knowledge of all the lights currently available for off-road MTB'ing.
If not, then your remarks could be seen as biased and a little misleading...not very fair on the OP, imo.
Yes, had the OP wanted a light for less than £300, then I can see why some would write about the Trout light, but the budget seems to be for much less. Yes, perhaps Trout may offer something for less than £200, but I'd be surprized if it is an LL or a 7-up.
To the OP. I believe the Mag, out next week, will have a light test in it. Perhaps wait until then ?.

Yes, I think issue 56 is out next week. AND, I [i]think[/i] it has a light review/test in it.
Either-way, I would hope its worth waiting, seeing as you're so close to a new review on a subject you're interested in.
