For my oxymoronic cheap blinglespeed.

What do you recon, inline or slack it off by a couple of degrees?

I don't think this is your greatest concern with that bicycle ๐Ÿ™‚

What is the HA at the moment?

I think it's about 68deg unsagged. It's listed at 72with an 80mm suspension fork and my little CAD drawing shows around 68 at 120mm.

Rule of thumb is 1 degree per 20mm of travel so it unlikely to be 68 now.

Does the handling characteristics of a slacker head angle appeal? If so get an angleset.

I be concerned about the 14mm bb hight increase myself

use an inclinometer app on your phone to measure it.

Thepodge- precisely. The A-C height for an 80mm rigid for is 470mm and the 120mm Fox 34 is 541mm so a total difference of 71mm or 3.6deg. Hence ~68deg.

Andyl - thanks for the tip on the inclinometer . My CAD and the app agree:

Yep your BB will now be about 30mm higher, that's alot!

Angleset will drop it ever so slightly whilst slackening. That's what I'd do

What's the head tube diameter? There may not be one available. The last time I looked for my bike on one and works components were out of stock.
I say go for it if you can find one. Most guys I know who have one say that don't really notice the difference, but don't go back. I like those kind of modifications.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

On a side note I'm guessing that's your usual bike leaning wall ?

My hallway is scored with the same bar and saddle marks as well ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm not too fussed about the BB being higher so long as it's below the axles.

The bike was designed to run 120mm forks, so I'm not jacking it up beyond its limits.

If your house is anything like ours, you need to use the inclinometer on the floor first! Our floor are way out. Without checking a datum everything else is a guess.

Nothing autorolls on my floor, I laid it myself and it's possibly the only thing in my house which is level/straight.
