I have managed to kill my Garmin forerunner 305, no shame to it though it is 5 years old and has been used just about every day including in temperatures from -20 to 50* So I am looking at a Garmin forerunner 610 and a Suunto Ambit so has anyone got ether and what is your opinions.

I've also been considering purchasing one of these watches for GPS. The Garmin has been edging ahead for me because of the touch screen function, battery life and ability to transfer data wirelessly. Its also slightly cheaper.

in true STW style I'm going to say how wonderful I think my 310XT bought off here is. A quick upgrade to the watch software and it's now good for swimming, cycling and running.
