cant fault my £12.50 ebay (MD10) one, that combined with a £15 clas 6 8gb card from 7dayshop and its a bargain, 31fps in sunlight 28-30 on light singletrack, only struggles in realy dense wood on the wrogn side of the hill due to the tiny lense/sensor droping it to 15fps then going blurry.

Hi Guys the first problem I had was after setting up the GOPRO HD
I tried a test just videoing the dog? but the cam just froze.
Could not turn of even after taking the battery out and putting back in.
And in the morning it would not start up.

Second GOPRO HD it started to take pictures in Cam mode then it started
to work but when I played back the video it was very stuttery and was if
I had edited badly a load of little clips of video.

Thats why I want to know whats going on as now I want a head cam badly
I know on paper I would say the GOPRO HD is the best out there
But GOPRO when emailing them about the problem are basicaly CRAP

when I played back the video it was very stuttery

Did it do this if you tried playing it back straight onto your TV?

Hi Trout thanks for the link But it seems the firmware
is not GOPRO's and if? it goes wrong you have to pay for
repair.
Trout what did you do to get over the problems with your GOPRO.
Regarding the stuttering i did email this and GOPRO gave no responce
in the return email.
I also gave the name and spped of SD card and was suprised but they
say they was testing the Kensington and another card.
So to me GOPRO was still testing this new unit.

Yes there was a pirate upgrade about but there is an official firmware upgrade coming out on the 17th

Mine seems to be working ok now but using a pny 8 GB sd card the kingston wont work at all .

have you tried uploading a vid straight to youtube and see if it will play from there worked for me .

It does seem like Go pro are using us customers as beta testers for a not perfect to release product .

just done some vid with it bar mounted and it must be the worst place to mount a cam far too much movement chesty or helmet for the next try .

I've got a contourHD 720p and it's a great little unit. The only problems are the vholdr mounts aren't the best (apart from the goggle strap mount), so it's best to hunt around for your own solutions. I've found some rubber mounts for standard helmet cam's that were easy to adapt and allow mounting pretty much anywhere on the bike. There's also no option for a chest mount like the go-pro but it's only one angle and not the end of the world. I'm pleased with the quality and the software allows you to adjust the quality and exposure settings.

This was filmed using mine:

My latest video shot using GoPro HD on a variety of mounts

[url=

The Sun (Darts Floor Remix)[/url]

Not had any issues with the camera.

Plays back perfectly on ordinary and HDTV and using VLC Media player(the BEST player for playing anything without the need for CODECs etc. on the PC )

Large files can be a problem to manage on the PC tho

Grantway, is the stuttering on your PC or on the TV?

If I try to edit in Adobe Premiere Elements 7 it stutters, so I just use that to make simple edits i.e. cut out the crap then convert to avi and edit properly in MWMM.

Just tried the VLC Media player and it still stutters.

Any ideas? Apart from buying a new PC.
