Ok so I have 2 bikes worth of bits and want to make up one new one.
It will be used for xc racing and trail bashing (nothing too extreme)
I have 140mm and 100mm forks for the front end and various parts to change the handling up front.
So the big question is what full sus frame to go for? I do fancy a bit of carbon but won't discount an ali frame. So far I have looked at Titus ftm, specialised stumpy fsr, yeti asr 5c.
Any ideas?
Being biased I would recommend a Santa Cruz Blur TRc frame.
Its a very stiff lightweight carbon frame, good for XC and most trails plus it takes most standard bike parts such as post mounted derailleurs, thread-in bottom bracket etc and you could use your existing 140mm forks.
Looked at the Blur TRc as well. Only put off by the price. I don't know if there are any frames that have 2 rear pivot points to change the rear travel to suit the riding.
