Well, Friday was new frame day. So shiny ๐Ÿ˜€

Saturday was build day. Used mostly existing parts but needed a new boost rear wheel and crank.

Today was ride day.

Very happy with how it rides. I'll probably add a dropper remote with internal routing so I can use my spesh post and will switch to my black pedals.

The frame came with a carbon fork so I expect in the summer I'll pick up some plus wheels/tyres to experiment.

In other news if anyone's after a large steel hardtail I'll be listing my Genesis High Latitude soon, once I've cleaned it up.

Is that a Tarn without the rigid fork? Looks very nice!

Good colour match with your yucca.

Great frame. Just surprised you didn't consider a Boost adaptor for the existing rear wheel as this would have also meant keeping non-boost cranks.

It is indeed a Tarn! Always liked the look of them so decided to go for it.

The yucca is currently wrapped in fairy lights hence its dazzling greenness. I should have sorted that out and tidied my socks away before the big build.

I find mudguards essential in the winter round here despite their offence on the eye. The hills should be demisted around May-June.

I've not read much about boost kits, but what I had sounded a bit complicated. I wasn't aware it would have worked with non-boost cranks. Thankfully the cranks, chainring and BB were rather cheap (Ribble). My existing wheels are a bit narrow to so happy to upgrade to something wider.

Nice work. You could do with a shoe rack though, and a Yucca is a poor substitute for a woodburner in STW terms.

I certainly do need a shoe rack. I've got a couple of pallets to make one, so that will happen sometime never.

No wood burner as I've got an open fire in the living room. I liked fire before it was cool 8) and all the heat from my smokeless coal goes straight up the chimney so it's even more wasteful!
