Anyone up for a little tour of the New Forest at a nice relaxed pace, possibly including a pub lunch?
Don't tell everyone but I may be able to arrange an exclusive preview of the Big Bike Bash riding trail. Comments/observations/suggestions will be very welcomed from such knowledgeable STW riders and will certainly help to make the event a huge success ๐
Would be looking to start riding at 10.30 am for a distance of some 20 miles.
Post up if you're interested but numbers will have to be limited so don't delay!
I could lead a ride around CG. I know a lot of the trails out there and could do a nice little 20 miler. I would be bringing Daniel on a tag-a-long so would certainly be sedate ๐
Excellent Rich, thank you!
I would imagine i'll make an appearance what with it being just down the road. Plenty of nice pubs to choose from, just watch out for the pony pooh.
oo, that could be my return the riding weekend.....
i feel the local DH trails are gonna get some mincing down
sounds like a must do ride .count me in .
Pringles guaranteed :o)
I would but i am already leading a ride in the forest with a group from work.
Ten furty? Means I'll have to be up at like, 5 o'clock or something daft. Why so bloody early? It's not like it gets dark quick.
Make it noon or sumfink. Then at least I can have a poo before I set off.
Bloody ten furty. What are you lot like? ๐ฏ
would be - but clashes with a stag weekend i've organised, another time
dagnabbit - out razzling on Sat night, next time
Rudeboy you can crash at mine on the Sat night if you like, I could even pick you up from the station.
Oh no! Another bash that I'm going to be away for!
About time I came out to play...
Anyone need a lift from the Woking neck of the woods?
P
Cheers Rich, but I'll be coming down with HackneyMincer, and he'll be driving. S'what, a 2-hour journey all in, from That London.
Just push the start time back a bit, so's we can all lie in a bit longer.
Bloody ten furty. ๐
is that the bank hol weekend?, i might be up (or down actually) for it
Wow, looks as though there going to be quite a posse ๐
rOcKeTdOg - no, it's not the BH weekend.
sharki - it will be a nice gentle re-introduction to the trails for you, might need to put you on a lead though!
RudeBoy - just stay away from the keyboard the night before otherwise Ollie will come without you ๐
owen - the groups could amalgamate?
Another fun STW Forum ride ๐
Possible though we are meeting at 8 in the morning due to other commitments.
owen - no clubbing for you Saturday night then ๐
Nope. Twirly for us. I'm not getting up at 7am or whatever ridiculously ungodly hour. It's 2 hours or more drive, and we'll be stopping for brekkie, so we'd have to be leaving just after 8. That's just silly.
We'll probbly go Surrey Hills or something instead.
2 small children put paid to that a few years ago ๐ if they sleep past 7 its a good lie in.
don't be silly RB, it's a 2.5-3 hour journey for me (unless i can borrow the outlaws caravan)
Fred - get a grip and just MTFU! You moaned about missing out on the Westbury ride and now you're moaning again ๐ฏ
I'm interested CG, any more info as to where?
S'not me driving though, is it? S'down to Ollie. If he does not in any way want such an early start, then it means we'll go somewhere closer. And if we either of us have commitments on Sat night, then it means we won't be getting a great deal of sleep. Best, we go later, at a time that's more suited to us.
Hi genghis. It will start from near Burley, approx midway between Ringwood and Christchurch.
Hope you can make it.
Not for me this one sadly - will need to stay local that weekend so will head up into the Chilterns for the day. Sorry!
Bah !
will be at a [s]car keys in the bowl[/s] conference that weekend ๐ณ ๐

Whys that C_G? Only good riding there is at Avon Tyrell really.
Hi,
Could be tempted as it's only 15 mins down the road from me.
I assume that it will be mostly/entirely fireroad?

Avon Tyrell has some nice twisty singletrack that you wouldnt really want to do on anything other than a mountain bike.

At best vague interest, now thoroughly dissolved.
Ohh! Ohh! Pick me! Pick me!
Can I come to, pretty please?
Mrs PP too!
Lots of great cheeky trails around there. Sadly I'm in Exmoor with Newforce that weekend or I could show you some, although they too have a club ride in the Forest - starting on the East side though.
Let me know if you want a few pointers
You definitely trailerbiking Rich? If so, I may well do the same.
Lemme know!
cheers,
Dez

Oh really? Any chance of a little more info ๐ i know the area well but have not biked there much. Just a few hints (big) would help ๐

That's a shame as was thinking of bringing my ride on tractor mower ๐

Only Aleigh is allowed to ride tractors
Hey - going to be a good turnout ๐
Keep checking back for more details but tractors are welcome as long as they have a smiley face person riding them!
Or a gurny face?
Sounds like a good way to spend a sunday, only just down the road so i'm interested in getting along, might bring a couple of mates who live in 'the forest'
Lummox
its the Southern XC that day at crow hill just down the road from Burley, but i'll keep an eye out for you lot!
HHmmm CLIC24 or Merida for me unfortunatly. Enjoy the ride and be sure to take some piccies.

I am the queen of tractor riding and face pulling - you have to be able to do both at the same time if you want to ride one in the New Forest ๐
