Looks like aging 1200 lumen MaxxD is dying, so wondering about one of their 1900 lumen Race lights from the outlet store to replace it - 1200 lumen has always been enough for what I ride at night so can't see I need anything bigger in terms of brightness or run time

Any reasons not to?

Exposure have a superb support service. It might be worth getting in touch with them. I had an early exposure back in the day that had a charge issue. They turned around a fix under warranty very quickly.

Mine is so far out of warranty 😄😄

Was tempted to see if it could be fixed, but a little more light is tempting so I'm not riding in my own shadow when people are behind me.
