Now here's something really innovative that actually looks good and not just a solution looking for a problem like so many of the more unusual bike stuff.

Maybe there'll be a feature here on STW soon? 😉

Not for me personally but looks like a great idea, and genuinely useful!

Hmmm, could be OK ona hardtail, but adding a load of unsprung weight on the back wheel is not going to be good from a suspension  performance point of view

Hmm not sure how long  that would cope with forest dirt/slop going through those cogs

How much force is that putting through the brake mounts?

I've seen frames damaged from the torque a Rolhoff hub puts on the same area.

I'd be surprised if this takes off for anything other than city bikes, I know a lot of manufacturers dont even want a 220mm rotor fitting due to the forces applied.

I'd agree with this. doesnt fill me with confidence.

I quite liked the idea of boostbike.uk but despite their website's claim that "Good news, Boost is likely to be compatible with your hard tail mountain bike!" they do not offer a 148 axle, meaning my ~2017 bike is not compatible... which doesn't bode well for being a quality product if they are targeting MTB-shaped-objects.
