I know that a lot of the guys & gals on here are now doing more road then offroad riding ๐Ÿ˜‰
and are all keen, competitive new-year-resolution runners and in need of an incentive to keep the ball rolling......

...So, in late March, a local Totnes triathlon training group (of which I'm a, practicaly non-training, member) is running a new duathlon, based around the grounds of the lovely Dartington Hall down in sunny South Devon, not far from trendy Totnes.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to race, as I have to marshal but I'm looking forwards to greeting other South West STWers as they bust their lungs and rip their calf muscles cycling/running around the hilly course (nice views over the river)......

Also, whilst I'm plugging not-for-(any/much)-profit, local events, how about a night run on Dartmoor next month? This one I am doing with my latest 3000 lumen ebay Cree torch strapped to my buff ๐Ÿ˜ฏ .....

See you out on the course.

Hi slugwash,
Can't seem to get your wild night run page to open!
Tried via google etc but server seems to be down.
Could you give me some more info, time, date and place etc?
Thanks

Is there a problem viewing the www.wildnightrun.co.uk site on Macs?

If so I'll let the organisers know.

Cheers.

[reverse psychology] You're clearly not up for it and you're scared of going out on the Moor at night [/ygolohcysp esrever]

I would take part but I'm afraid of the dark

Really? It don't seem to stop you raking the local pond to catch the moon with the rest of the population of Callington ๐Ÿ˜‰

Could you give me some more info, time, date and place etc?

Sat 9th Feb - South Brent - 7km or 10 miles ๐Ÿ™‚

Hmm, even tho I hate running, I'm actually kinda tempted by the night run (given there's not much tarmac)...

I'll need to try to ram in a bit of running in between times to re-acclimatise me'self to it and help get over the flu' - is there any kinda timeout limit on completion? (I'll definitely be near the back, even if I only do the 7km)...
