First impressions, bear in mind it's a frame swap for a Soul:

Dislikes

No Tange Prestige sticker
Some dust in the paintwork
QR looks like something you'd get out of a christmas cracker
Rear brake brace is a plate rather than a tube.
Lack of sacrificial rear-mech hanger (but I knew this anyway)

Likes

Indentation in the chainstay for added chainring clearance.
Doesn't look freakishly big (whilst it is in fact freakishly big)
Curvy stays
Profiled top and down tubes.

Where are the holes for the rear disc mount? Painted over?

. . . stickers put there before paint so that when you mount the brake adapter, it's a nice clean and flat faced metal surface.

Damn you could lose yourself in that blue (I have a Sanchez on its way in the same finish 8) ) - looking forward to the pics of the finished bike.

So how would you compare those two?
I thought Soul would be way stronger and more playful but never rode HJ really so can't compare.

I have a first gen BFe in medium and would like to go for a tad bigger frame ( I'm 6,2) so my back doesn't suffer on longer spins.

Also, BFe is a very strong frame and I'm not sure I need that much metal for trail riding.

Regards

Re HJ sizing: I've got a 19.5" HJ and I find it it fits like a glove (oops, I should be careful with the use of "glove" and "HJ" in the same sentence)
I'm 6' 1.5" with long arms and legs (34" inseam, 36+" arms on my posh shirts). I've also got long-term sciatica but still find it comfy unless I'm get out of depth on very techy stuff and getting jolted all over
