[#2391863]

I need some new chainrings 22/32/44 for my M770 triple crank (9spd). I was thinking of replacing them with standard XT rings againb then wondered what the collective thoughts were on Middleburn rings or another I have missed?

Cheers All

Deore all the way for me.

Cheap as chips and last an age. Difference in weight is far from a deciding factor given current riding conditions.

I got told off on this forum because I'm running Deore rings and a Yumeya chain. Works well though.

If you go for Middleburn get the slickshift version, I think that's what they call it. I could not get their standard chainrings to move the chain at all but slickshift is fine. I have a triple on XC bike and it has been trouble free. Only went down this route to try something different plus had sq taper bb, so got their cranks as well. Have HT XT on another bike - not sure I noticed any real world difference (except that the HT bb/cranks are simpler to set up).

Cheap and cheerful works for me given the current winter grime so I think Deore for now and then look again come the nicer weather.
