I got this frame from the states when the dollar was worth bugger all. Spent weeks sourcing the parts and lovingly building it up. Now, after two hours out with it this afternoon it looks like a steaming pile of poo. I hate mud!

Looks quite a lot like it to me.

Any info or a link to the manufacturer?

It's a BMC trailfox 2 (www.bmc-racing.com). They have just brought out a newer model which was reviewed in this months What Mountain Bike. After two hours of wet, muddy, rocky ups and downs I'd have to it's far more capable than I am. And when you consider that the new frame is selling over here for £1500ish and I got this one from the states for £350 including shipping and handling, I think it was a bit of a bargain. 😀

Looks good, very monochrome, nice price.

But it looks like a strange bird has landed on your handlebar.

Can't quite work out what I'm looking at.

Flat bars????? The strange bird would be the lesser spotted ergon(ergonous smallendicus) Once rarely seen in the UK it is now becoming far more common.
