I have Magura MT2's at the moment as they came with the bike, however I find that compared to my old XT brakes they feel somewhat under powered, even with a larger disk on the front.
So other than XT/XTR what else should I be looking at? Formula look interesting and come in at good weights.

Very happy with my Formula RO's. More power/better modulation than the Tech M4's they replaced. Did get them for £280 for a full set from Merlin but think they've gone up again.

hmm interesting link thanks. Wonder which way the levers they are set up as I've moved to Euro style now.
They'll be UK style I would imagine. RH-front. I managed to shorten mine without needing a bleed so should be able to swap the levers over without too much trouble.
