After breaking the frame on the Rocky ETSX, I decided on an Orange 5 frame as a replacement and took the new build out for an inaugural on Sunday.
What do I think? Basically -
YEAH, BABY!!!!!
I am converted. I have seen the light, and it is northern. ;o)
In comparison, the old bike, with hindsight, felt like trying to pedal along on a tractor.
Just a thought: The Orange (henceforth to be known as "Chunkimunki") makes me think that all the complicated rear-suspension developments over the past few years (energy transfer systems, asymetrical chain stays, "brains", quad links etc etc) have all just been over-engineered solutions to a non existent problem!
I'm even going to buy the Tshirt.
Happy trails.
well i'm looking forward to getting an anthem x 4.but do like orange 5 bikes.glad you like your new steed. ๐
The Orange five is what i'm going for over the next couple of weeks too! I don't think you can go wrong with the single pivot idea...especially for UK weather conditions!
Glad you like ya new bike, have fun on it!
