£1000 budget, disc brakes, usable front suss, don't mind changing the odd bit like saddles etc. on purchase but nothing major.

Yeah, it's difficult to look far past Speccy really.. also got the Kona Kula Lisa down, Whyte 805 (though I don't know how small they go).. anyone ridden the Ghosts that Wiggle sell? Seem good deals.
My lass had the smallest spcialized fsr but at 5 foot 2 it felt too ong. She ended up getting a 14.5 Trek EX5. Been looking at those Giant's though, they are good value.
