[#10900732]

After coming in from my ride last might, I removed the battery pack from the bike. Rather than holding onto the two sockets to separate them, I just pulled. Hard.
So, on the light end, i have bare wires, and a "male" socket. There is no obvious way to re-attach.
1) can i buy a new socket with wires attached an splice it together ( but the water resistance might be an issue)
2) is there a socket available that I can just attach to the bear wires I have?
3) do I have to buy a whole new head unit
And if 3 is the answer - are these rubbish?

(C and B seen set up BTW, so I wouldn't order from them!)
Thanks

I’ve had numerous Chinese lights and eventually one of the connectors always goes wrong. I’ve looked a number of times for suitable replacements and never found any.

I’d probably just buy a new light. What do you use the light for? Solar storm I think are ok ish.

I have bought plugs and sockets that fit lumicycle in the past or you could simply buy a matched male and female plug and socket and replace both. radioshack have a range of these ( are they still going? )

Like these?

Be careful not to let the battery leads short if you're repairing that side.

Glue filled heatshrink tubing is good for weatherproofing.

Something like this?

Splice and wrap in heat shrink should be waterproof. Certainly more waterproof than trying to put a new plug on.

Two sizes of plugs, chinese one usually thinner than hope ones...
Multi led lights tend to be poor.
Search XHP70 or XHP70.2 for top spec latest single LED lights. Be aware that some oriental suppliers tell fibs about specs - we've all had millions amp batteries that obviously aren't.

On-One do a Exposure look-a-likey ....
Has anyone experience of these ?

Which do look very similar to these

Looking at the MTB batteries Luminator 1700 as the probable route
