Right new bike it's a full build off the shelf build. However the front brake howls even when not breaking ie if I spin the front wheel and the shifting is a bit slow and noisy. Now this is an up and down the road and off the curb ride.
Do I leave it for a full ride and see?
Or go throw a Wobblie at the shop in a nice way is look chaos this isn't right? To top it all it's my dream bike the demo was amazing with none if these issues and was a model or two below what I have. Bit gutted tbh. 🙁
Storm in and demand your money back..then wee in their shoes.Obviously defective goods that can't be fixed in less than 30 seconds with a multi tool.
I'd go to the shop, usually a few adjustments will be needed after an initial run anyway. Its not often a bike can come straight off a work stand and be spot on first time.
It just needs to be set up properly. No big problem. Do you trust the shop to do it? Ride it a bit and make a list of all the faults and return it to them to fix it.
Or alternatively as I would do - strip it and build it properly. If they can't set the brakes and gears up properly I wouldn't trust them to do any of it.
Tj it's not my usual lbs, tempted to get my usual lbs to do it but worried about warranty as it's quite an expensive bike (I used all my savings and sold a kidney ) I don't want to play about with it I'm an ok mech but this should be spot on shouldn't it??

Yup - it should be spot on. Take it back to the shop then. Nice and calm and polite with a list of things that are not right.
using another shop will not invalidate your warranty unless you have some very odd terms written in to it. It will not affect your legal right at all
That was my thinking too will be chilled but ask for it to be sorted out.
