I've seen this a few times now and don't get it, but what's the reference to orange bikes and filing cabinets?

Nice looking frame btw, giving a five some serious thought as my next bike

Most of the work of the factory in Halifax where Oranges (the folded sheet ones 5,alpine,322 etc) are made is making metal shelving units (and possibly filing cabinets).

To some they look like filing cabinets, the same people will tell you they've not changed in fifteen years or whatever it is, I don't think they realise how stupid it makes them look.

They look so much better with straight top tubes

When you ride them fast on Rocky terrain they sound like someone throwing stones at a filing cabinet

And they're about the same weight as a filing cabinet full of files.

It looks nice in the flesh too , I'm quite deaf so can't hear the noise just my tinnitus, 🙁

Lovely frame and the best colour. Not keen on that Hope sticker though, personally.

chakaping , yes Hope stickers are all gone now, already on the frame when I bought it. Colour is nice,
Patriot is a great bike ride really well , I have an RC4 in my spares that will fit the Alpine for those DH days 😀

Here's mine, can't see the resemblance myself 🙂
