Well frame not bike, and it was yesterday.

I’ve had my eye on a Starling for a while now but a couple of other nice frames got in the way. When I saw that the stainless one was available that was it.

I’m 6’1” and on the border between sizes and after speaking to Joe at Starling settled on XL.

Pretty much all parts have gone straight over from my Flaremax and on yesterday’s short ride it was flippin’ brilliant.

Lovely.

How are you finding coil shock/pike fork?

I just changed my shock to a coil and love it, but my pike almost feels rough compared to it. I'm thinking a service first, or maybe convert to coil.

That frame looks so nice, I think I can even overlook the tanwall tyres.

Just this once, mind.

eddd, it’s great. I had the same set up on my Flaremax.

Before that I ran a Yari with upgraded Charger damper and Vorspring coil conversion. That was ace but I didn’t feel particularly compromised going to the Pike Ultimate afterwards.

Chakaping, I have a black walled Minion / Aggressor set which might go on as they’re 3c compound and the tanwalls are a bit slippy by comparison.

Thanks, yes I think the coil rear is my wake-up call to finally get round to servicing my forks.

It looks great with the tan-walls, they set off the frame somehow.
