For Little Miss CFH. She's outgrown her Early Rider Belter (now handed down to The Boy) and needed something similar. Light, simple, but more use over longer distances. For those of us of a certain age, EVERYONE had a Raleigh when growing up, so it was pleasing, and a little surprising, that it was Raleigh who had a bike that really hit the spot.

Obviously, will be looking for some skinwalls, but am also going to have a rummage for a shiny old school 7spd rear left, and might switch to some cut down carbon risers. Overall, though, very pleased. She got the hang of gears almost instantly last night, too!

Looks tidy that, how heavy is it? Are we talking Isla/Frog sort of weight? it certainly doesn't look like the BSO we've come to expect from Raleigh.

Yep, very much in that same weight area (forgot to weigh it in the shop, will see if I have any luggage scales around!)

It is indeed a long way from the sad image of Raleigh as a producer of BSOs. It's a proper little ripper of a bike.

That looks like a right little trail ripper.

It needs bendy mudguards that can be bent over to make a 'motorbike' noise against the tyre like the Raleigh i had as a kid
