Yeti ARS5 Absolutely minty condition. I've been riding HT for so long, I've no idea about rear shocks!!

Needs a rear brake bleed, cable guides for dropper post that's now fitted and a chainstay wrap, all parts coming today, and I'm 'working from home' on an admin day.

these carbon frames...they're ok...aren't they ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

carbon is fine, is it coated with helitape to protect from dings and scratches? take many photos of it now as you will probably never get it looking so new again. Unless you are like one of our gang who has a yeti and polish's it everyride. Rough rule of thumb I've found with shock pressures is take your ride weight (add gear and backpack) and convert to kilos. For every 10 kilos add 10psi in the front shock and double this for back. then fettle around up or down 10 psi from there

Don't leave your keys in the door if you have any glass panes in the door of near it. Just saying like.

The bike is all types of ace. Nice you've matched your floor to it.

muddy9, thanks great starting point, I'll start with that and try it out.

Rear shock:

If it kicks me out of the saddle, rebound too fast, and if it packs down add more, is that right?

Best way to sort suspension for beginners is below - try a run fully open, then tey fully closed, and each time moving closer to the setting you preferred of the two. You slowly get to the right setup for you

Personally I'd route the rear brake cable round other side of headtube, although it'd difficult with underside of downtube routing I spose. You could do that for now until you get round to shortening and bleeding the cable. Faffing round with braided cable just eats into your ride time.

And self amalgamating tape for the chainstay is my preferred choice. From screwfix
