But it's an outstanding piece of design that works extremely well for it's intended purpose. The fold is very, very clever.

It's going to get a lot of use 😀
taken it off road yet??
I like the birdys better
I have an irrational dislike of folding bikes, but hey a bike is better than a car or worse a scooter!
No, not off road yet.
Got it 'cos it's:
a) british
b) folds small enough not to be a nuisance on the trains
Aren't they great?
I've a 2-speed S-type in racing green. Ace thing. 🙂
And they are mildly off-roadable. I remember seeing pics of them in the RSF Journal.
Lovely always fancied one of those. As for off-road saw a guy riding one of those round Grizedale north shore last year he was doing fine
It's an M6R - and it was discounted - at Evans!
taken it to any sweet parks yet - you know in your mack?
Saw a japanese bloke cycling one of those fold bikes over the col de aspet, madness
Remember to not jump off kerbs incase that back end trys to do its folding thing.
Not anymore they don't, they've got an ickle locking clip doodahmajig 🙂
Great, small wheeled airtime is go.....
My mates the world champion on one of them...

mine is curled up behind me now.
Superb bikes.
Teetosugars - why the confusion over the win?
I like it. I have a few Dahons. They go offroad whether they like it or not 🙂
love it. I was surprised how easy they are to ride
Geoff,
Beacuse Al started off in a differnt heat.. and IIRC not everyone was set off at the same time.
Mine is a bit flat now as a someone parked their Land Rover on it (after making sure I'd got out of the way first though by punting me over the bonnet)
good on ye mate .... its not a MTB but youv'e gone to the commuting thing and it will only set you in good steed for the long run ... ride hard and long !
Yes, that's nice and I want one but not at the moment.
How much did you pay for it? 🙂
There aren't cheap. Paid £700, down from £790
I think they're a great idea if you've a need for one.
I do think you'll look like a pillock riding it though, no matter how many times I'm told "It's a design classic!".
A mate said "thats not a bike" when we saw one last week...
Personally I think its great for getting on the train and cycling to work.
Not cheap either.
