Hay guys,

My mate is looking for a new bike with a 1500 max price. Mostly rides trail centers but some natural stuff. Wheel size doesn't matter nor does material. He likes the look of the vitus 290 on CRC but I think he can do better! Oh and it can be either HT or FS

What would you recommend

He'll need to narrow it down a bit. I'd suggest a blue one.

Lime green.... deffo lime green.

You've given us a choice of about 4000 bikes in the UK with nothing more than "He rides bikes"

Ok, ok, something that has good forks and good groupset, slx or above if possible, something from a main bike company. Not halfords.

I'd tell your mate to nip to a few local bike shops and see a few for himself.
Have a chat, see which shop he gets on with and do a deal.

If he's got no idea at all then have a chat with some people who sell bikes for a living.
