Woohoo, just been for a spin around the block. Great fun. Need to bolt that seat on properly and then little un can have a go. Her bigger sister will be able to cling on and have a ride as is when she get home 🙂

Does that cute little girl annoy you sooo much that you had to buy a longer bike to get some peace?

*shakes head*

Bike's a lovely colour though, 🙂

I wish I could find a use for a cargo bike.

Anyone got any ideas about stoker bars? Thinking about something for the eldest to grab onto, but a normal stem isn't going to fit on a seatpost without a bit of fudging. Don't know if stoker bars are something special band on or something...

If that was the case, it would be the bigger one at the back as she is _never_ quiet. (Well unless she's asleep ;-))

Yay!!! 🙂

A regular stem will bodge onto the seatpost alright with some beer can shimmage.

My stoker bars were from an old town bike, 90degree sweep or thereabouts.

Beer cans, aahh. Very Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance 🙂 Actually, having just had a spin with eldest and looking at the post, that'll probably do fine. Will try when the children are in bed later.

Can I suggest putting a bell on the stoker bar? 🙂

Stoker bars fitted.

-Old donor stem + coke can shim.
-Cut down bars and grips.

Now need to look at panniers at foot rests so she doesn't catch my heels, or bolting something on for her feet.

Angle grinder, some webbing straps, a few zip ties and a few subtle adjustments and the small ones seat is now mounted on the back.
Can see a couple of refinements to be made when I pick up some bits, but should be good for a test ride tomorrow 😀

Hopefully it'll be sunny and I can take the camera with us for a few actual ride pics...

Now carries two children properly 😀 I have had an idea about how to mount panniers to 20mm diameter tubes too, so that should be sorted soon. Had a quick test run with both toady, proper out tomorrow...

Cool machine.

Have you thought about maybe a seat or foot pegs for the eldest child?
