Just waiting on some pedals, but will borrow some off of a different bike to try it out for a short spin today.

Fun hooligan bike i'm guessing was the brief for the build?

Are the forks old dj3?

Yep fun thrash around the local woods bike ๐Ÿ™‚

The forks are old Marzocchi Drop off Z1's, 2001 or 02. Keep thinking about replacing them, but they work well, never cause me problems and not sure what I'd replace them with tbh...

keep an eye on crowns .. buddy had a set that split (did'nt get any worse) but remember to keep an eye.

If you put something like dmr moto digger tyres on it'll do anything.
Couple of the lads use them on xc bikes as all round thrashing tyres.
Only saying that because a speed king lasted a week on my local stuff.. was tearing the centre knobs off fast.

i have something very similar, just orange, and mebby a little smarter but older and like angryratio says stick some tyres like kenda small block 8 or dmr motos on, much better, youd be surprised at the amount of grip!

The tyres were just a spare set that I had hanging around, will switch them out at some point.

40T chainring, probably too big but it was cheap from CRC.
