[#5272005]

Looing for a new wheel set to replace the Bontrager Mustang set on my Trek Superfly. Unfortunately I've managed to knacker the rim and the hub (525) is also on its way out… anyhow, time for an upgrade. I use the 29er for XC style stuff, a bit rocky, but nothing gnarr as I'm too old and cr@p. Initially I set my budget at £200 and looked at Fulcrum's red power XL wheel set, but the Wiggle Hope Hoops deal has set me thinking about a set of Stans Arch on Pro II hubs. I'm not a fan of the Hope hornet nest sound… so, any other recommendations?

Superstar with Stans rims. On budget and a bit quieter than Hope

But £60 buys a lot of ear plugs.

Get some more bonty ones, the stans rims are great tubeless but a nightmare if not!

Not sure about Superstar hubs... they have had a few "issues" that concern me. They also only have Flows in 29er flavour which is too hardcore for me 🙂
Does anyone know anything about Cole wheels from Evans? Link
