Trampus - Junior Brown does not hit the spot!

Like the Pointer Sisters and especially their frocks, so nice and girlie. Perhaps I should just put on my killer heels now?

Love the Ryan Adams video, he does look sober and free of white powder. But he's not playing guitar 🙁

sodafarls - shy retiring girlies wouldn't survive on this forum, you end up with the gobby ones here 😯

I'm with Sodafarls on the Donna Summer thing. Miles better than Diana Ross etc. Donna Summer had a bit of a warped edge, next to the sugary sweetness of the others.

Some quality choonage coming through!

Apart from Bruneep.... 😯

'Firkle'! Great word!

Oooh, I think this one might score highly on the [url=

I don't think that's a Tubbmeister choon, though. Certainly not heard it before.

OK C_G's gotta stagger up the stairs otherwise I'll be flat out on the singletrack tomorrow. Goodness knows how I'm going to ride singlespeed on a hangover 🙄

Enjoy the rest of the session and be nice to Fred otherwise he won't get his licence renewed.

Nite nite

Meanwhile, in the Indie lounge...

Transfixing. Saw them live during this era. She was one of the most strikingly beautiful things I've ever seen, in an unconventional beauty sort of way.

Mad as a box of frogs mind.

On a reggae tip, my one claim to fame when working in the "music industry" was to get [url=

Mm, that's quite off-centre, Sodafarls, that's for sure!

I'm on a bit of a Dub n Ska thing tonight.

Enjoyed that Rare Earth, I must say.

right - have been hogging the floor with non-dance stuff so here's a dancefloor classic - worth listening right through if you haven't heard it fully before.

And that's time please!

DezB; you're a married man, in his late 20s, and a dad. What you doing going out to gigs twice a week???

Like the Filthy Dukes. Good sound.

As I write this, Sigue Sigue Sputnik were just mentioned on the radio! 😯 Spooky...

She gave me the horn as a youth and was beautiful. Unfortunately by the time I met her she was in seriously dire straits, and bears little resemblence to that video now. I hope somebody took the time to help her sort herself out.

Nice, Sodafarls; nice. Remember hearing that, and stuff in that vein, during a particularly twisted set of techno-dancehall-dub-D'n'B type stuff, in the dripping basement of the 333 club. Particularly remember a proper warped version of a Sean Paul choon. That was a mad night.

Can't find the ****er.

Some chancers got Simon Hughes MP to dance to [url=

a few years ago. He was trying to show he was 'down wi' da yute dem', or some other such shite...

"Excuse me, do you f@ck as well as you dance? Are you as hot in the bedroom as you are on the dancefloor? Oh really......?"
I love this song.....

Trampus; yer welcome, mate. Thanks fer coming!

Wendy James; someone pointed her out in a club a few years back. What a state. Hard to believe she was the same woman we'd lusted after as young lads. Still we can't all stay young forever... (ponders the inexorable spread of grey hairs amongst the slowly but surely receeding thatch...)

Ah, the ravages of time, excess, and late nights.

Speaking of which....
