...complain about bike tyres.

£260 for 2 fronts for the car, after extensive shopping around.

Even very fancy MTB and road bike tyres are about £80 a pair.

Still, better than ending up upside down in a field on fire. Probably.

Yeah, but that is laying down 1,000 brake, and to someone that can buy a Veyron that will be small change.

235/45 R17

If I had a ****car I wouldn't mind so much, but it's won "Towcar of the year", which is hardly Rock'n'Roll credentials.

Car tyres are pretty cheap compared to bike tyres when you consider how much rubber is in them. Makes bike tyres seem like a rip-off.

I've had 45,000 miles out of a set of Goodyears. On a Golf Git 16valve.

Seeing a set of bike tyres worth £40 a pop killed in the space of two weeks brings a tear to my eye.

Got 4 brand new Yokohamas once for £22.00 !

Only noticed when i got the visa bill in. The guy in the fitters missed a 0 out.

Nice one.

Well till karma got me back when i discovered they were utterly lethal in damp or wet conditions.

I just had to have one replaced at a cost of £178, it had only done 15k. I don't know why this one wore so quickly when the other 3 are at still at 5mm.

My chipped focus st used to get 5k out a set of 18" fronts, I dont know what worse, that or the low 20s fuel consumption.

I put 4 new tyres on my car £110 a corner, near side rear was on 6 days when I caught the edge of the raised patio near the garage, split the side wall, it'd probably done about 40 miles!!

Pissed me right off having to fork out another £110 but took out my frustration destroying the patio with a sledgehammer!!
