i'm on a long cycle tour and have newish wheels, just want top get them checked before heading off to the continent -
any recommendations for good shops in newcastle.

KB Cycles in Newburn. Can also recommend avoiding Steeles in Gosforth for anything maintenance related.

Start Cycles seem pretty good (got my last bike from them, friendly helpful staff). Based in the town centre near Eldon Square

There are a few bike shops on the Shields road in Byker. Edinburgh Bike Coop at the top or a few others a short stroll down the road.
