[#2164188]

My a2z IS to IS 160 to 203 mount is about 3-4 mm too thick where it meets the caliper on both mounts. could anyone recommend a small engineering firm where i could post the mount too for the excess material to be removed. Can't really visit as I work in London.

Or could I file it and use a micormeter to check correct thickness although I doubt this would be accurate enough.basically it's about 4mm of centre and needs to move inboard more for the rotor to be centred ( or inline) with it.

cheers.

if it needs to move further inboard, doesn't that make it too thin ?

there's 2 IS's (at least - maybe more), one of which is IS200 or 8 inch or something and is often found on "big" marzocchis from a few yr ago. Those forks need a different adaptor (which is thicker)

I suspect you may have a combination of the above, but not sure which way around

Wouldn't it just be cheaper/easier to buy the right one?

sorry outboard..shimano do one for stupid money. Discobrakes do one for a decent price but it is identical to the a2z one. not found any others.
Mainly post to IS now.It is for the rear brake.tbh I doubt any LBS around these parts would have one anyway.

Have a look at the CRC brake adapter page, there are Shimano, Hope, Magura and others making an adapter to do exactly the same job, there might be subtle differences to get around the problem. A visit to a good LBS with the bike and some really good biccies should let you experiment with their tin of left over adapters until you find one to suit.
