Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a decent gilet (doesn't need to be waterproof), a decent pair of winter gloves and some warm socks?

I'm from Yorkshire so cost is a factor!

Endura Gilet - around £40 last tiem I looked - does the job nicely

Gore Tool gloves - £40 and very toasty with good feel

either wool walking socks for a fiver or merino lined Sealskinz - about £20

don't forget a Buff or similar for your head - makes a big difference on a cold ride
