I'm building up a frame for my daughter which has an IS disc mount but it has cable guides rather than hydraulic hose guides. Hoses are currently zip tied on, is there a neater solution?
Drill the cable guides ๐

I had the same problem on my hardtail - I found some thin wire, looped it through the guides and the hoses, twisted it tightly, and tucked the ends out of harms way - does the job and pretty much invisible.
Dremmel out the cable guides and thread the hose through them. Been doing it that way for years on my bikes as well as other people's.
But isn't it pretty much impossible to get a snug fit if you drill out the guides? Which means you have rattly hoses. Plus you have to bleed your brake?
Thanks chaps, I will consider my options ๐
Drill the guides - wrap insulation tape round the hose and insert em into the guides
That's my plan for my ss anyway
Have a look at M:PART stuff. Couple of options from a quick trawl:
I used the clampie jaw thing on a bike a few years bike and it was top bombing.
Cable ties are fine. Fact
