I’ve finally retired my Liteville 301 after nearly 10yrs of service. I’ve looked at many options for a replacement over those ten years but nothing really jumped out. I always hoped the there would be a new lighter shorter travel Liteville coming, but it never happened.

So the replacement is a Stumpjumper Comp. I wanted something shorter travel but not race spec. This seems like it ticks the boxes. I’ve upgraded the wheels to the new Roval Control Alloy which are really nice and light. I’ve also switched out the cockpit for some older narrower bars. The original ones were massive and felt overkill for me.

Only one ride in so far on the trails around hayfield. I’d never ridden there so a bit of an unknown with a new bike, but I really like it. Firstly it fits me and feels instantly like one of my bikes. Climbs and descends well. It’s very quiet, no rattles or noises. It’s lightish…..but feels robust.

I’ve always wondered what a modern Yeti ASR5c (one of my other favourites) would be. I think I’ve found it 😊

Nice. Sure I've got a photo of an old MTB leaning against that very sign. Can't find it though.

Now I want a Stumpy too 🤣 Thankfully over C2W limit so Mrs Fazzini won't need to divorce me just yet.

You might want to water the lawn though 😉

Also... Nice bike BTW 😁

Had mine for 18 months now, and love it. As you say, it’s just a nice light all rounder. Mine was an insurance replacement after my 2016 Stumpjumper was stolen, during the height of the Covid bike boom, so I had to settle for the boring grey as it’s all I could get in an S5. I would have really liked that colour! Get some frame protection around the mech hanger, it seems to allow the mech to hit the frame sometimes - I’m not convinced by the universal mech hanger design personally, but it’s the only weak point as far as I can tell.

@fazzini it was from Tredz. They even allowed a blue light discount on it and still on interest free! It was too rude not to!
