Well that was an outstanding day at Dyfi today. I'm massively loving the Status.

As I wasn't flying solo today I got to ride a different trail or two, so we did luvi Dyfi>super swooper followed by super swooper full, top bit is way techier than luvi Dyfi!

Then we did turns in the ferns, which was harrrrd on the techy slabby droopy steep bit, but managed it. Then back to luvi Dyfi and swooper and then got talked into El Hippo with the boy. Which again, hard in bits but managed it.

I've been off work most of the week with a throat full of razor blades and last few days I've got about 5kg of snot out! So it arguably was a terrible plan, but went better than I expected.

The boy spent a large chunk of the day riding with Trailrippers and Dan Atherton, hitting the full Oakley line and some metal jump that used to be used in Hardline. A lot of that down to Nathan and Dan giving him 'encouragement' 😁😁😁

1. They're all on the GoPro.
2. They're all him riding
3. I'm dying they'll be up tomorrow, I need sleep and a beer, not necessarily in that order
4. I assume you meant videos of him, unless you need to put your kids to sleep then I may be a better option

I was banking on 2. to be fair 🙂
Must have been quite the thing watching him with Dan Atherton on the Oakley drops.

The silly sod took the GoPro upstairs so I can't get to it until he wakes up.
I've been busy cleaning and sorting all the bikes as a mate borrowed the 141 yesterday, so was a 3 bike cleaning fest this morning.

The rocks are sharp at Dyfi, it is best to carry a spare tyre 😁, sorry couldn't resist.

First ride in ages (well, did an Eeb ride but that doesn't count 🙂 )

Trying to get back out after man-flu and had a quick spin out today... was awesome !!!

I really do fancy one of these to abuse at my local woods/jumps.
Especially now my carbon vitus is effectively without warranty meaning I might not want to abuse it quite as much.

If you're after an S5 a mate has one that's done 1.6 miles and his knee couldn't take it, so he's gone back to an Eeb. £1300

It may not strictly speaking be an XC bike, but as always around the local trails that's the job it sometimes has to do. It does it better than you'd think. I found the last 30 mins a bit hard at the weekend but i think that was more down to me rather than the bike, due to lurgy i've not been at my strongest/best lately but i'm working on it. Somehow the ride didn't seem to have any downhills at all LOL.

I threw the Shockwiz on the Status to get it set up. Only a quick bit of baseline setting for now. But it's all looking good.

Interestingly it reported kinda what i expected that the back end rebound was too quick. A couple of weeks ago a mate broke his G170 at FoD in race practice so i gave him my Status for the weekend to race on. I was SURE i had the rebound set to 4-5 on the dial, but when he handed it back it was on 10... I wasn't sure so i slowed it to 6-7 and felt better.... but Shockwiz reported too quick a rebound, so stuck it back to 4...

It seemed happier after that, although needs a bit more longer term testing of course to get it completely dialled.

Need to dial in the forks this week if viable with the crappy weather and get it ready for Dyfi this weekend and Ponty
