Went to see the Crit last night and it was great, hooning round the park at 66kmh!
Wondering about going to watch the road champs on saturday, but is it as good to watch? And would it be a daft idea to take my 3-yr old?

Sunday's National Road Race Championship is 196-kilometres which centres around Stamfordham in Northumberland.

I'm in Hexham, so Stamfordham is fairly local.
Apparently its something like 4 big laps and 4 short laps

Route map here:

Mens race does 3 laps of the big loop and 4 of the short, Women's race does 1 of the big, 3 of the short so the ideal place to spectate is on the junction of the big and small loops.

Stamfordham is Race HQ and has a few trade stands etc going on on the village green but there's no parking in Stamfordham itself. Best way in is by bike to be honest, you should get to see a fait bit of the course that way.
