Apparently you don't even need a clutch mech, according to Pink Bike

i just run clutch mech with no guide.

Fitted a race face one this morning.Non clutch rear mech and no guide,3 hour ride....not dropped once.

Just got mine, will report back. Teamed up with short cage saint mech.
