You could look at an X5 Inbred as well? £100 cheaper than this at the minute and better specced. Amazing value

Is there Much of a trade off due to the Cro Mo frame on the X5? Been looking at aluminium only really.
Cant find the x5 29er for the price of the Marin? can only find it at £799

looks good. did you actually ride it ? how it fits etc will be more important than the spec

Not ridden it yet, sat on it and it felt right. I will ride before I make final decision. Want a 29er as they seem to be more forgiving of mistakes! (make loads) 😯

I know I could get a bargain second hand, but knowing my luck Ill end up with a stolen bike or something!!

As long as the frame is of a good standard, the rest can be upgraded, just need to know the frame is worthy of it, if you know what I mean.

its an ally marin frame, should last for years barring any accidents. you could buy a second hand bike but end up spending money sorting out basic problems. unless you know exactly what you want, have a box of spares and are handy with the spanners you are probably beter off with something brand new
