I'm looking to change my XT double crankset over for a N/W 30 or 32t, either Race Face or Superstar. I was just wondering if any one else who had made this change over could tell me if they used the original bolts from the XT crankset or if you had to buy different bolts?

the originals will be absolutley fine.
however, you might be prudent in replacing at least one half of the nut/bolt set with a steel item as you do end up putting more load on them.

I just sapped to the 30 t NW race face chainring it has built in threads so you only use half the chainring bolt. And it's brilliant, running 1x9 on a non clutch SLX mech and no chain guide. Been all over Chase on it and local trails, jumps, drops, chain stay clattering runs and no dropped chain
