Got a tiny framed Trek Skye for youngest daughter, good spec for the money but it needs to go on a bit of a diet.
Who makes the narrowest mtb tyre for 650b / 27.5 ?
It's got a 2.2 on as spec but was hoping to find an xc type 1.8 but they all seem to be slicks.

In case you hadn't guessed this is the first 27.5 bike in the family fleet. So it's all new to me. Don't get me started though.

I'm interested in this as I prefer a narrow tyre (on 26" wheels), but they're difficult to locate these days. Luckily, I've found a few 26"x1.8" Nobby Nics on Ebay, to keep me going until fat tyres go out of fashion.

Maxxis Beavers are available in 27.5"x2.0", I think.

The other thing to consider is that different manufacturers measure their tyres in different ways. So one 2.2" can be very different from another. But you probably knew that already!
