[Closed] My replacement frame arrived at last

White is nice, bike is nice, its the red that looks naff though!

I like it. Including the red! (but excluding the bars...)

I like it a hell of a lot actually....is that a Hope SS rear wheel? Was thinking about getting one myself...are the rims tubeless compatible?

I really like it apart from the bars. Colour scheme is great!

Quite like the red bits as unlike some it's not too much (I'd have done without the red saddle though), however those hideous bars spoil an otherwise nice looking bike.

Well I really like the bars. Not sure about all the red, but it looks nicer than any of my bikes.

Reall like the red and white, and the bars make sense, but as an ex-Explosif owner, I know how good that bike will be.

They are Jones H bars. Yes they look hideous but they are great to ride. 😛

The wheels are Hope Pro's the rear is a SS trails hub with Stans ZTR Arch rims and DT revolution spokes.

Kona have kept the old frame. Shame really cause I could of welded it and flogged it on here 😉

It snapped on the drive side dropout.

How does it ride? Meant to have shorter chainsatys than previous models. Also any idea how much frame weighs? Ta.

BTW - love the bike, I think the red goes really well with the white and black.
Reminds me of my SS Explosif that I had red hubs on. Just sold it sniff sniff..

As for the Jones bars, not my taste but I guess they are really handy on a SS. I just went the cheap way and used bar ends.
