another one joins the "stable" i am rather pleased that i built most of it (considereing i used to be mechanically inept before my bike maintenance course!) although i did nt fit the forks/headset as i don't have the tools
a little disappointed at the weight - 29lbs as i had hoped it would be a bit lighter
not ridden her yet but looking forward to it
Looks nice, how much it cost?
about £1,000 - that said i already had the wheels, headset, stem, grips, pedals
saddle was a warranty replacement
frame 2nd hand off ebay (£350)
forks 2nd hand off ebay (£200)
drive train from merlin (£119)
brake/gear shifters from ebay (£105)
very nice!!! 🙂
Looks like a great 1k to me albeit with a few bits you had. I always just adjust my scales to get the reading I am after.
good thinking tinsy - it's now 26.5ilb!
Yeah, very good price, mustve done a lot of hunting around. What brakes are they?
brakes/gear shifters are shimano xtr combined unit - not everyones cup of tea but i have had them before and this project was all about cost savings!
looks nice martin i thought you had a double garage not a stable 🙂
Would be a good picture apart from the skip. Have you not heard of Photoshop man! 😆
Looks nice. Enjoy.
Nice bike. Skip needs emptied though.
