How long does the crash replacement warranty last on helmets? I have a giro helmet and is about 7 years old.

3 years I think - I've just broken an 8-year old Giro and that's what I was told when I looked into it.

I found a split in one of mine recently. I can't remeber so much as dropping it from waist level, never mind banging it on anything. It made me even more sceptical of the "without my helmet I'd be dead" pictures that folk post of their split helmets after a tumble. 🙂
