have signed up to do this http://www.erlestoketwelve.com/ . have signed up with people from http://www.settingascene.com/ .if anyone has read my thread about trying to get my motivation back for riding my bike (here is the link for anyone that was interested) http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/am-fed-up-of-not-riding-my-bikeso-am-going-to-do-something-about-it am majorly unfit but had heard about this event. was enquiring on setting a scene forum about if anyone was going to do it (had absolutely no intention of doing it myself!) then wishing them luck. one of the admin guys replied that i could join if i was interested.i replied back that i was really unfit, but he replied back saying that it wouldn't matter (there is a catergory for people/teams who just wanted to enjoy the day). so before i could talk myself out of it,have put my name up for the event ๐Ÿ™‚ am hopefully going to be in a 4 person team doing the 12 hour event.secretly i really wanted to do this (well i'd kick myself if i didn't!) i just know that the day will be great (riding in a team/meeting other mtb'ers) and also it's literally less than 15 miles from home (i have previously done 1 mtb event/the salisbury plain challenge back in jan 2003.50km course and loved it ๐Ÿ™‚ i wish everyone who is doing it/or any other event good luck! ๐Ÿ˜€ p.s it's held 6 days after the rush time machine gig at the n.e.c so will be one hell of a week! ๐Ÿ˜€

If I was to do any MTB event again, this would be the one.
I really enjoyed the one I did - Set2Rise as it was then. Even though my EBB slid out every lap until it totally failed, I still had a good ride.

Does my heart good to see someone trying! I am also trying to get into shape, the festive period left me without the ability to fasten my top buttons on most of my jeans, they also looked like leggins on me.

I have managed to lose most of the wright, however the beerfest I embarked on means I'm a bit out of shape.

Damn you Tyskie and the tasty rest too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ridefree!

Just have fun, don't stress over it and take it easy!!
